The maximum term for a switcher mortgage is 10 years.

The switcher mortgage can only be taken our on the PPR (principal private residence).

To apply, you just fill out the application form and post it into us along with the required documents. A manager will then be in touch to discuss next steps. If you have any questions, email us at info@canacu.ie or phone us at 01 6766151.

There are no hidden costs. The only cost to the member are the legal fees which can be rolled into the cost of the mortgage.

Professional Valuation on the property required. CANA CU cover the cost of the valuation fee.

  • 3 Months Bank Statements (most recent)
  • Credit Card Statement (if applicable)
  • 12 months statement for your existing mortgage account

  • Employed - 3 most recent pay slips
  • Self-employed - Last 3 months bank statements OR Notice of self-assessment
  • Social Welfare - 3 recent payment receipts
  • Retired - Proof of pension
  • Any other income - Please supply supporting documentation

Identification

  • Photo ID - Driver’s Licence/Passport
  • Proof of Address - Utility Bill/Bank Statement issued in the last 3 months
  • Proof of PPSN - Pay Slip, Employment Detail Summary (P60)
Loan Requirements

Maximum Term

  • The maximum term available is 10 years. The maximum balance is €150,000.

Ability to Repay

  • We make it our responsibility to all members to ensure that our borrowers can afford their repayments for the duration of the loan. A borrower must be able to afford the loan repayments, including interest, over the full duration of a loan.
